Shopping
In
addition to the fun attractions, dining, and a
plethora of things to do in the High Country,
there are many great gift shops, specialty
stores and boutiques in the area. Vacationers,
locals, and students alike all enjoy browsing
the great stores that abound in our area.
 The Boone Mall recently completed a makeover
project. Filled now with more eateries, stores
and shops than before Boone Mall is an excellent
place for Boone NC shoppers to browse. Closer to
Blowing Rock on Highway 321 is also the Tanger
Outlet Shoppes on the Parkway shopping center.
Filled with numerous brand name outlet stores
like Banana Republic, Gap, Ralph Lauren Polo,
and Corningware shoppers never run out of things
to look at and the deals are endless.
Downtown Boone is always a favorite for
shoppers. Filled with historic buildings, shops
and unique specialty stores you’ll enjoy
strolling down King Street browsing the antique
shops and the historic Mast General Store. Both
King Street and Howard Street have a great
combination of college-oriented businesses as
Appalachian State University’s beautiful campus
intersects with the downtown area which provides
a great atmosphere.
Blowing Rock’s downtown area offers the same
type of shopping, specialty gift shops,
antiques, galleries and many charming boutiques.
Stroll down Main Street shopping and after your
tired, stop by Kilwin’s and enjoy an ice cream
cone or sit in the downtown Blowing Rock park
and rest a moment.
Banner Elk also offers great shopping too!
Browse the ski shops, gift shops and interesting
boutiques located throughout the Banner Elk and
Valle Crucis area. You’ll find many great
specialty stores.
In West Jefferson, the newly renovated downtown
area of West Jefferson is a great place to go to
find great art galleries and wonderful
boutiques. Also known as the West Jefferson Arts
District, downtown West Jefferson is filled with
plenty of great stores and a great deal to look
at. |
